View Menu

This menu allows you to move from one module to another without using the FIMS Navigator. You can also use this menu to access your Contacts/Tickles, and to refresh the information in the current Data Window.

 Menu Option

Function

Profiles

Opens the Profile Management Module.

Gifts

Opens the Donor and Gift Management Module.

Funds

Opens the Fund Management Module.

Grants

Opens the Grantee and Grant Management Module.

FACTS

Opens the FACTS Module.

General Ledger

Opens the General Ledger Module.

Accounts Payable

Opens the Accounts Payable Module.

Pledges

Opens the Pledge Management Module.

Scholarships

Opens the Scholarship Management Module.

Spending Policy

Opens a sub-menu that allows you to perform Spending Policy functions (for example, Code Maintenance and Spending Policy Calculations).

FIMS Navigator

Opens the FIMS Navigator.

You can also open the FIMS Navigator by pressing Alt+Ctrl+N on your keyboard.

FIMS Processes

Opens the Processes window, which allows you to run process for most FIMS modules.

You can also open this window by pressing Alt+Ctrl+R on your keyboard.

Refresh

Updates the displayed information with the most current data.

You can also refresh your data by pressing F5 on your keyboard.

Contacts

Opens the Data Grid for all Contacts in the FIMS database.

You can also open the contact list by pressing Alt+Ctrl+T on your keyboard.

Contact Tickle

Opens the Reminders for Today window, which displays a list of your current Tickles.

Note: The Default View for this grid only displays Tickles for the user who is currently logged in. If you want to view other users’ Tickles, you must create a new view using the alternate contact table. Refer to Configuring View Settings for more information about setting up views.

Note: If the data grid does not display any tickles, it is possible that the view you are using is filtered to exclude that tickle. Select a different view to see the tickle.
