Article summary

While working in FIMS, I get this message: WARNING: -mmax exceeded. Automatically increasing from xxxx to xxxx. (5490).

The x's represent the current mmax setting and the setting that it is being increased to. Each system may have a different number shown in warning message.

Do I need to be worried about this? How can I correct it?

Answer:

If this issue occurs in FIMS:
  1. Close FIMS.
  2. Open the Folder N:\found\configfiles.
  3. Right click on the file called wfound.pf and open with Notepad.
  4. Add line that says "-mmax 8192". The number here is a good example, but you need to enter a number that is larger than what the warning message said.
  5. Log back into FIMS or IGAM and test and see if issue is resolved.
