When importing contacts into FIMS, the following error occurs:
'Some of the data exceeded mapped field format widths. See ....ssimp.txt for error detail. Do you want to import anyway?'
The screenshot below shows how this error looks. The path for the ssimp.txt file will be different per FIMS environment depending on the settings used to save the ssimp.txt file:
Answer:
This error occurs due to data in the spreadsheet to be imported exceeding the maximum field length. By default, the ssimp.txt file is saved in the npo\found\FIMS folder, however, you may have another directory set for users as defined below. You can check these areas to see where your ssimp.txt will be saved.
Once you determine where the ssimp.txt file is saved to, then open it and view the error messages to determine what field you are importing has to many characters.

Note that only on-premise customers can save the ssimp.txt files to the default, npo\found\FIMS folder, location. For Azure Cloud, see the following:

To see directory for FIMS user:
1. Go to Tools\User Preferences\All Other Preferences
2. Scroll down to the SaveAsDir option
3. Check and see the directory that is saved there. If its blank, then the default is being used.
To see directory for all FIMS users:
1. Go to Tools\System Utilities\System Options
2. Go to the System section\SaveAsDir option
