The fund distribution listing report only accesses the distribution record. Thus, the fund sub type field was added to the distribution record to allow for filtering during reporting when the fund table was not available.
Answer:
If you are adding a Fund Distribution record and plan on running the Fund Distribution Listing report for various fund sub types, the Fund Sub-Type from the Fund record is not available and thus must be manually filled in on the distribution record in the field provided. It does not default in from the Fund 1 tab when you create a new distribution.
Also, if a Fund Code change is done for Sub-Type, the Fund Distribution record must be manually updated.
