What is the daily scheduled upload from FIMS to DonorCentral?
What is the daily scheduled upload from FIMS to DonorCentral and why does it need to be done?
Answer:
If you are on-premises, there is a scheduled task than runs on your FIMS database server that uploads FIMS data to DonorCentral. This daily upload will occur per the schedule that you have set on the scheduled task on your database server. Many times, this occurs at night, but again, will occur according to what you have configured in the scheduled task.
If FIMS is hosted for you on NPact's servers, then we have a scheduled task set up on our servers to upload data from your hosted FIMS tenant to your DonorCentral site.
For on-premises or hosted FIMS, you can go to the Monitoring page in DonorCentral to see when your FIMS data upload to DonorCentral occurs each day.
The daily upload from FIMS to DonorCentral includes the following data:
- Gift and Gift Payments
- Grant and Grant Payments
- Fund advisors\donors
- Funds
- Grantees
- Fund associations
- Staff Users
- Fund Market Values
- Fund Available to Spend
- GL Detail and Master
You can also do this same process manually if you do not want to wait for the daily upload to occur:
