I'm in the process of performing a server migration and I found FimsSqlViews.exe in NPO\found\FIMS. I'm not sure of its function, what is it and what does it do?
Answer:
- It is used in Custom\sqlviews.bat when rebuilding views, or during a Fieldmaker commit process, running the SQL widths checker update or a FIMS upgrade.
- It was a batch file that was converted to an executable.
- It is only used if the client has or ever tried using complex passwords in FIMS. If they had never used complex passwords then it isn’t used.
- The purpose of the exe is to hide the -password parameter passed to jvmstart.exe for the FIMS database.
