When automated emails are sent out from DonorCentral, what triggers an automatic email and is there a schedule for when they are sent?
Answer:
There are 5 automated emails in DonorCentral:
- Welcome emails are automatically sent as soon as the DonorCentral database receives an email address that is new to it - that might be done automatically during a real-time-sync data send, or it might happen at night when the scheduled data export and upload is done or a manual upload.
- Recommendation submission confirmations are sent immediately after a donor/advisor submits a grant recommendation online.
- Recommendation cancellation confirmations are sent immediately after a donor/advisor cancels a grant recommendation online.
- Grant Approval Notifications - these are combined into a single email per donor and are sent out at once per day between 5-7 AM ET. These emails are only sent out if enabled in Site Configuration, and for grant applications that have been approved in FIMS.
- Fund Statement Emails - these are sent out when a donor/advisor requests an emailed fund statement, no other time.
