Article summary

When switching between multiple FIMS databases using the database button on the top left of the FIMS menu, users may see that while the name of the database they wanted to switch to is correct, the data displayed is from the database they just tried to switch from.

Answer:

To resolve, log out of FIMS and close out FIMS completely then re-open FIMS and select the database with which you would like to work from the database log in screen and login as normal rather than using the database button in FIMS to switch databases.

Steps To Duplicate

  1. Launch FIMS
  2. Select a database from the database selection screen and log in
  3. Click Database
  4. Select a different database than the one you're currently logged into
  5. Confirm that you would like to switch databases
  6. Enter name and password for database
  7. Click ok
  8. See that the database name at the top of the FIMS window is for the new database, but the actual data is still from the original database
