The individual gifts are over $5000 so they should appear on the 990 donor schedule and they are not. Why?
Answer:
The 990 donor schedule aggregates the gifts by idcode and compares the aggregate to the value entered in the set-up screen. Typically this value is $5000. Thus, a donor making 2 gifts of $3000 each would show on the report.
Several factors could cause the donor name and associated gifts to not appear.
Several factors could cause the donor name and associated gifts to not appear.
- If the gift was a pledge payment for an historic pledge and you left the accrual box checked, the pledge was previously included when it was made and subsequent payments will not be included.
- Gift adjustments might cause the entire gift total for the year to drop below the cut-off value.
- IRS Gift Type classification might be missing. The gift type used on the gift must have a value in the IRS Gift Type field in the Gift Type maintenance screen ( File Maintenance > Gifts > Donor and Gift Code Maintenance > Gift Type)
