Article summary

When a donor for example submits a grant recommendation the advisor and any staff who are CCd or BCCd should receive automatic emails.

Here are the different types of automatic emails that are sent out:

Configure Automated Emails

Some users are not receiving automatic emails and have checked their Spam and Junk folders to make sure that the emails are not there.

Answer:
This is typically caused by the email being blocked on the user's end before it reaches their email provider.

The first fact to establish is to find out if it is just the staff users who are BCCd\CCd who do not get the emails or if the advisor also does not get the emails.

To find out if DonorCentral sent out the emails successfully, please see this new feature below. You will be looking up the advisor user account and see what automatic emails were sent to this user.
How to view Emails sent to a user in DonorCentral

If the emails were sent by DonorCentral as verified using the tool above, you will need to work with the user's email domain (yahoo, verizon, comcast, etc.) to make sure they are not blocking emails/other domains.
