The Fund Statement Designer

The Fund Statement Designer (FSD) is available for those with FIMS 14.20 or later installed. It was created to improve the process for creating fund statements and allow many clients who are currently using 3^rd party applications such as Crystal or Word to move back to creating statements from within FIMS.

Using the FSD, clients have control over header information, fonts, colors, logos, shapes and lines. More formatting flexibility is allowed as well (left align, center, right align, and layout item positioning).

The FSD provides ability to add Logos, Text, Shapes and fields anywhere on the page. The fields can come from the following tables.

• Fund

• FieldMaker for fund

• Fund Statement run time selections

• System Initial Setup (System Control record: FIMS database Name and Address )

• Division Profile

• When the Fund’s division has a related Profile record

• Allows for Division Logo if logo image files are placed in Division Profiles’ folders with a common name

• Fund Representative

• Unless “Print one statement for fund” is selected on the Fund Reps tab when running Fund Statements.

• Profile for Fund Representative

• FieldMaker for Profile

• Mailing Profile

• Based on the options selected from the Mailing tab when running fund statements

The Fund Statement Designer uses the same FIMS Design Statements Row and Column formatter that clients have already setup or provided on a new installation. It makes it easier to manipulate and preview values for the setup Row and Column formats.

Note: You can still create row and column formats in the Design Statements Super tab and access them in Fund Statement Designer.

The Fund Statement Designer utility is found in the General Ledger module under the File Maintenance menu.
